Every class that graduates from our new owner’s training class must give a “speech” about one of their class members during the graduation ceremony. On the first day of training, each class member draws names from a hat to see who they will have to talk about on the last day. It is their job over the next two weeks to learn as much as they can about that person in preparation for the “big day.”

Normally, this is a very emotional day. Today’s graduation was no exception. Matt Boyd, our new franchisee in Nasvhille, TN, decided that he would write a poem about classmate Carol Brohmer from California. With Matt’s permission, you’ll find it below.

Thank you Matt for your creative idea, and for making the graduation ceremony a special one.

The Butterfly

She came to Omaha, the city of College World Series Fame…
embarking on a new career,
and looking forward to playing a new game.

She embarked while reserved, measured and un-sure…
whether the new business that they had chosen was going to be secure.

Early on we saw her caring, intelligence, and insight…
That will help their Right-at-home sprout wings and soon take flight

Then we saw her tenacity, confidence, and attention to details…
Traits that will serve her well, as she endeavors to grow their sales

Finally we saw her learn the business details from head to toe…
With a self-assured savviness, that will help their profits grow.

So whether she is in Oregon, California, or even overlooking San Francisco’s large lagoon…
Carol will be HIGHLY successful, as she has emerged from her cocoon.
