Meet the Family | Ken Helmuth

Ken Helmuth, a Right at Home franchisee in Durham and Chapel Hill, NC, utilized his background in healthcare as he made the decision to become a Right at Home franchisee. His experience in sales, sales management, and commercial leadership were helpful when he was presented a resale opportunity in his neighborhood. It had a reasonable base, but also so much room for growth. When Ken visited Omaha in 2013, the corporate team seemed to be genuine and sincere, and found Right at Home had a national brand which could be locally leveraged. Ken also discusses the importance of finding that employee who is your confidant. It’s also very important when researching the opportunity to talk to as many franchisees as possible.

Meet the Family | Gulraj Shahpuri

Gulraj Shahpuri owns a Right at Home franchise in one of the most prominent territories in the United States, Redwood City, CA.

He followed his passion in healthcare as he came to be a Right at Home franchisee because you get the systems, tons of experience and support. He wanted his franchise to be in healthcare.

The support Gulraj receives from Right at Home is invaluable. He loves the weekly coaching calls and knows the coaches are available after the call, as well. He can also call the resources people at the head office anytime they’re stuck with questions.

For Gulraj, it was the right decision to buy a Right at Home resale franchise, something that was cash positive and just scale it from there.

Paul Blom owns three franchises in Minneapolis MN, and has been involved with Right at Home for over 21 years. Paul made the decision to proceed with Right at Home because he and his husband wanted something meaningful to do.

Paul discusses what it was like in the beginning and the support he receives from owners of other Right at Home franchises. He talks about how twenty years ago it was all about educating people and the need for in-home care. Now, it is more about recruiting and trying to find caregivers.
