Sethu and Lalitha Reddy

Sethu and Lalitha Reddy are two extraordinary individuals who are now adding the expansion of Right at Home to their long list of accomplishments.

Sethu Reddy completed his medical and research training in Canada and at Harvard University. He held several leadership positions at Cleveland Clinic, including senior consultant in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism as well as department chair, seven years before joining Merck Pharmaceuticals. With more than 30 years of experience in this field, Sethu has been tremendously active in medical education and national societies. During his career, he also served as vice president of Global Medical Affairs, where he successfully worked with customer-centric teams to develop customized medical solutions.

Having studied in India and Canada and at Harvard, Lalitha Reddy has been a resident of northeastern Ohio since 1995. Placing a high priority on education, Lalitha earned a master’s degree in psychology from Osmania University and a master’s degree in social work from Dalhousie University. While constructing her master’s thesis that was based on end-of-life issues, Lelitha volunteered at both the department of geriatrics at the Cleveland Clinic and at the Alzheimer’s Association, where she remains an active volunteer.

Adding to her extensive educational background, Lalitha went on to teach psychology at St. Mary’s University. During this period of hard work and studying, the Reddys had four children. As Lalitha transitioned into the role of a stay-at-home mother, she became very involved with her children’s activities at school and continued to volunteer with different associations.

Coming across a postcard with information about Right at Home, Sethu brought the opportunity to his wife, and the couple discussed the possibilities Right at Home offered. They knew the next step was to venture into the franchising world and begin a new chapter in their life with Right at Home.

How did you find out about Right at Home?
Sethu: Believe it or not, it was from a postcard. I think in life when you are thinking about something and you suddenly come across it, you should grasp the opportunity. That’s how we felt when we came across Right at Home.

Why did you choose an opportunity with Right at Home?
Sethu: There was some history of the brand in Medina, Ohio, and we thought it might be easier to help contribute to the brand’s success instead of starting from the ground up. Corporate did not seem pushy, and they wanted us to talk to existing owners to help with the transition. They are very transparent; the owners whom we spoke with said they were happy and loved the principles of the support system.

What personal experience do you have in your own family with caring for a senior?
Sethu: My mother suddenly became ill; she was looking over my father as his caregiver. When she passed, the idea of my mother having more care over the years entered my mind.

Lalitha: When my mother became ill, I was going back and forth to India to take care of her for about two years. Given my background and serving as a caregiver, I know the [level of] need seniors require at the time they need it most.

Please list any nonprofit organizations, community groups, volunteer activities, etc. you are/have been involved with:
Sethu: I am involved with the Diabetes Association and am an executive sponsor for initiatives to help the differently abled.

Lalitha: I volunteer with the Cleveland chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, and I volunteer at the department of geriatrics at the Cleveland Clinic.
