Diane Bobbitt
Introduced to the in-home care industry by her previous career, Diane Bobbitt is bringing Right at Home to Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Diane graduated from culinary school and began a career with Compass Group, running restaurants in upscale retirement communities. These restaurants not only focused on great food and service, but also wellness, fresh ingredients, and total health and well-being. Through hard work and dedication, Diane grew within the company and achieved the position of Regional Manager.
In 2009, Diane relocated to North Carolina, bringing her closer to her mother. Working with retirement communities gave Diane insight into what seniors wanted – namely choice, freedom, and the ability to stay in the comfort of their own homes. In 2013, Diane’s mother was diagnosed with ALS, leading Diane to take on the role of primary caregiver.
In due time, her mother moved into an assisted living facility, and Diane learned her mother missed the familiarity of her own home. When she asked her mother what she missed most about her old home, she said, “being able to look out of my window, the garden that I loved, and my neighbors.” Wanting to better the lives of seniors by keeping them in their homes inspired Diane to look into senior care franchises.
Coming across Right at Home, Diane knew she had found a company that cared for its clients and would truly make a difference; she soon signed on as a franchisee. “I just really liked the culture at Right at Home,” said Diane. “I knew I had found the right company.”

When I was researching in-home care franchises, I came across an article in Business Week and Forbes that indicated they were one of the best in the industry.
Why did you choose an opportunity with Right at Home?
Founder Allen Hager’s mission was so inspiring, and the overall culture of Right at Home impressed me. Those two things helped me make my decision to join the system.
What personal experience do you have in your own family with caring for a senior?
When my mother was diagnosed with ALS, it made an impact on our entire family. Being the eldest child, I took on the role of her caregiver and saw how seniors could benefit from in-home care services. The caregivers who helped my mother stay in her own home for so long were compassionate and respectful.
