Bill Love believed that people should be able to remain at home for as long as possible, to live safely, and with dignity, in the comfort of their own home. He also saw it as an opportunity to do something for his community.
When Bill Love opened his first Right at Home territory in Memphis, Tennessee in 2010, he was new to the home care industry. In fact, he was new to the senior market and had spent most of his professional career working in fashion in New York City. Prior to buying his Right at Home territory, Bill and his wife had a new baby and decided they didn’t want to raise their kids in New York City. Originally from the South, they decided to move to Memphis.
Bill was still commuting to New York City but was missing out on time with his kids, so he and his wife decided to start researching business opportunities that would allow him to spend more time with his family. Research had identified that the senior market was growing, and both had experienced the value of home care for their grandmothers. After careful consideration, Bill flew to Omaha for Discovery Day with Right at Home and knew right away it was the franchise he wanted to partner with.
Crediting a big portion of his success to Right at Home’s corporate office for advice on training through strategy, Bill has more than doubled the business since he bought it. He has also become a part of a performance group of other Right at Home franchise owners who all help each other troubleshoot issues.
