This year marks a milestone worth celebrating for Right at Home owners Paul Blom and Bob White: 25 years of excellence and leadership. It’s a moment to pause, reflect, and honor not only the longevity of their journey, but the people and values that have shaped it from the very beginning.
Opening Their Business
Twenty-five years ago, Paul and Bob opened what would become the third Right at Home franchise location in the country. At the time, there was no way to predict how impactful their decision would be. What they built together has grown into one of the most respected offices in the entire Right at Home system, and one of the most awarded.
Their passion for this work didn’t begin with a business plan; it began with people. Paul’s connection to caregiving started early, as a teenager forming meaningful relationships with elderly neighbors: mowing lawns, helping with daily tasks, and learning firsthand the value of kindness. Bob’s path was shaped by his mother, a nurse who later became a caregiver herself. Watching her serve others with compassion inspired him to pursue in-home care, helping people live with dignity in the place they feel most comfortable.
That shared philosophy, care rooted in respect, compassion, and humanity, has guided everything they’ve done since.
Awards and Recognition
Over the years, this office has been recognized on numerous occasions at the local, regional, and national levels. Their honors include placement on the Minnesota Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces list every year since 2010, along with multiple Best of Home Care, Caring Super Star, Leader in Experience, Employer of Choice, and Provider of Choice awards. These distinctions have made the office one of the most decorated in the Right at Home system. They also reflect a culture built on trust, consistency, and genuine care.
Paul and Bob’s impact extends well beyond their own office. As leaders in the system, they’ve served as mentors to countless franchise owners and helped bring forward national opportunities and partnerships that benefit owners, caregivers, and families across the entire Right at Home network. Their willingness to share insights, offer guidance, and lead by example has left a lasting mark on the brand.
